Jessie Pauline Ranney, 75, of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, July 5, 1991, at Medical Lodge South Nursing Home in Pittsburg, Kan. She became ill while visiting a daughter last November. She was born June 20, 1916, at Alton, daughter of Mason and Fannie Sifford Minnich. She married Don Ranney Jan. 23, 1937, in Cape Girardeau. He died Dec. 9, 1983...

Jessie Pauline Ranney, 75, of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, July 5, 1991, at Medical Lodge South Nursing Home in Pittsburg, Kan. She became ill while visiting a daughter last November.

She was born June 20, 1916, at Alton, daughter of Mason and Fannie Sifford Minnich. She married Don Ranney Jan. 23, 1937, in Cape Girardeau. He died Dec. 9, 1983.

Ranney was a member of the Church of Christ in Jackson.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ann Mayberry of Pittsburg; a son, James Ranney of Alton, Ill.; a sister, Christine Haman of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. John Stinnett and Larry Dowdy will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
