IDA RISTIG

JACKSON -- Ida Ristig, 97, of Jackson, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 1991, at Deal Nursing Home.

She was born Dec. 7, 1893, at Friedheim, daughter of Rheinhardt and Johanna Lowes Schille. She and Louis Ristig were married Aug. 27, 1914. He died Dec. 23, 1957.

Ristig was a lifelong member of Emanuel United Church of Christ.

Survivors include a son, Freddie Ristig, Cape Girardeau Route 2; a daughter, Norma Brothers, Jackson Route 6; two sisters, Frieda Biller of O'Fallon, Alma Nelson of McCallasburg, Iowa; two grandsons, and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Private funeral service was held Friday at McCombs Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiated, with burial in Old City Cemetery.
