DONGOLA, Ill. -- Effie Henderson, 92, of Dongola, died Sunday, Nov. 24, at the Union County Nursing Home in Anna. She was born Jan. 30, 1899, in Union County to Sandy and Mandy Sivia Lentz. On May 1, 1959, she married Jerry Henderson. He preceded her in death on May 1, 1959...

DONGOLA, Ill. -- Effie Henderson, 92, of Dongola, died Sunday, Nov. 24, at the Union County Nursing Home in Anna.

She was born Jan. 30, 1899, in Union County to Sandy and Mandy Sivia Lentz.

On May 1, 1959, she married Jerry Henderson. He preceded her in death on May 1, 1959.

Survivors include two sons, Ralph Henderson of Bethalto, Ill., and Farrell Halterman of Merrillville, Ind. Three grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.

She was a member of the Wetaug Church of Christ.

Friends may call at the Crain Funeral Home in Dongola from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, at the Crain Funeral Home in Dongola, with A. Albert Reeves officiating. Burial will be in the Christian Chapel Cemetery.
