PERRYVILLE -- Richard Edwin Thompson, 65, of Roscoe, Texas, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 1991, at Scenic Mountain Hospital in Big Springs, Texas.

He was born Nov. 1, 1926, at Yount, son of Leo P. and Ruth Harris Thompson.

He married Mary E. Johnson April 12, 1947, at Fredericktown.

He owned and operated Thompson Tire Sales in Roscoe.

Survivors are his wife; sons, Ronald Thompson, Big Springs, and Tim Thompson, San Angelo, Texas; daughters, Connie Johnson, Perryville, and Kitty Baird, Big Springs; brothers, Ralph, Ray, Leo D., Lester and Tommy Thompson, all of Perryville, and Leonard Thompson, Waxachachie, Texas; sisters, Florence Coffee, Hannibal, Leona Johnson, Dennison, Texas, and Ruth Ann Dodd, Perryville; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville.

Service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Whitewater Christian Church Cemetery at Yount.
