CHARLESTON -- Funeral service for Stella Johnson of Metairie, La., will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Shelby Funeral Chapel here. Aubrey Wilson will officiate, with burial in IOOF Cemetery near here.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Saturday.
Johnson, 93, formerly of Mississippi County, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 1991, at St. Jude Hospital in Kenner, La.
She was born Nov. 3, 1898, at Cave In Rock, Ill., daughter of John Lace and Delilah Broy Perry. She married Frank W. Johnson, who died in 1976.
Johnson moved to Metairie 16 years ago from this area. She was a member of Carrollton Avenue Church of Christ in Metairie.
Survivors include a son, Frank Johnson of St. Louis; three daughters, Edith Ganus, Doris Ganus and Joan England of Metairie; a brother, Cecil Perry of Plainfield, Ill.; a sister, Etta Clark of East Prairie; 14 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and a sister.
