Letha Ellen Sprengel, 83, of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 1991, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Sept. 4, 1908, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Arch and Fannie McGill Wallace. She married August K. Sprengel Sept. 9, 1930, in Cape Girardeau. He died Dec. 7, 1979.
Sprengel was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She had worked at International Shoe Co., White Cross, and Tipton's Laundry.
Survivors include three sons, Archie and August Sprengel of Cape Girardeau, George Sprengel of St. Louis; two daughters, Ruth Langston of Cape Girardeau, Wanda Perr of Brea, Calif.; three brothers, Ernest Wallace of Sikeston, George Wallace of Long Beach, Calif., Robert Wallace of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Lillian Sieberg of Cape Girardeau; 14 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers and a sister.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Carl Richardson will officiate, with burial in Fairmount Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
