BELL CITY -- Queen Eva Dogan, 79, Bell City Route 1, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 19, 1912, in Como, Miss., daughter of Silas and Evelina Weakley. She married Lee Andrew Dogan Feb. 16, 1930, who preceded her in death.

Dogan had lived in this area 50 years, and was a schoolteacher. She was a member of New Morning Star Baptist Church in Haywood City.

Survivors include three sons, Lee, Albert and Billy Dogan of St. Louis; five daughters, Violet Buchanan of Chicago, Rita Scales of South Holland, Ill., Frankie Shine of Justice, Ill., May Sisson of Harvey, Ill., Ruth Brown of Honolulu; three sisters, Roberta Connors of Cape Girardeau, Maurine Hamilton of Haywood City, Lillian Young of Memphis, Tenn.; 20 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bell City Church of God in Christ. The Rev. Willie Madlock will officiate, with burial in J.C. Pullen Memorial Garden.

Friends may call at the church from 6-8 p.m. Saturday.

Beams of Heaven Funeral Home at Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
