CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Service for Aldana Kimmich be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, with Rev. Carl Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel.

Kimmich, 67 years old, of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 1991, at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.

She was born Oct. 19, 1923 in Perry County, daughter of Charlie Kassel and Etta May Niswonger Kassel, and was raised in Cape Girardeau, where she attended Trinity Lutheran School and Cape Central High School.

She was married to B. W. Kimmich on Mar. 16, 1945 in Cape Girardeau.

During World War II she worked in the shipyards in San Diego, Calif. Following the war she returned to the Cape Girardeau area.

She help operate Kimmich's Cafe/Restaurant until 1951.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Trinity Lutheran Ladies Aid, and the VFW Auxiliary. She was also a Sunday school teacher at Trinity. She was involved in the Scouting program.

Survivors include one son, Dean Kimmich, of Perryville; daughter, Diane Staley of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Walter Kassel, St. Martin, Neatherlands, Antilles, and William Kassel of Cape Girardeau; a half brother, Gilbert Kassel of Perryville; sister, Shirley Peat of Playa Del Rey, Calif.; three half sisters, Hazel Crose of Sarasota, Fla.; Irene Brandes of Jackson, and Leola Franke of Uniontown; two grandchildren; and one step grandchild.

One brother preceded her in death.
