LEILA M. DEVORE

CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Funeral service for Mrs. Leila M. Devore of Cape Girardeau will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Neil Stein will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.

Mrs. Devore, 90 years old, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 1991, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Jan. 9, 1901, in Bollinger County, daughter of William Jefferson and Josie Belle Kinder Slinkard. She married Virgil Devore May 20, 1921, at Jackson. He died Feb. 3, 1978.

Mrs. Devore was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Pauline Ramsey of Cape; a brother, Buhl Slinkard of Cape; four sisters, Mrs. Robert Minton, Mrs. Comfort Copeland and Mrs. Sophia Tranel of Cape, Mrs. Anita Crader of Santa Rosa, Calif.; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
