VIRGINIA LEE JOHNSON

EAST PRAIRIE - Graveside services for Virginia Lee Bisher Johnson of East Prairie, Route 1, were held Saturday afternoon at the East Prairie Memorial Park. Brother Larry Smith, and Brother Ernest Brown were the officiants.

Johnson, 61, died Thursday, Feb. 1 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born in Mississippi County on Jan. 19, 1930 to the late Charlie Martin Bisher, and Pauline Parker Bisher, who survives.

Other survivors include three brothers, Gordon Dale Bisher of St. Louis; Jerry Paul Bisher of Viola, Ky.; and Bill Bisher of La Place, La.; two sisters, Pat Pope of East Prairie and Betty Husk of Cape Girardeau.

Johnson was a life-long resident of Mississippi County. She retired from the Missouri Division of Family Services, where she was employed as a social services worker.

Shelby Funeral Home of East Prairie was in charge of arrangements.
