JACKSON - George F. Holtkamp, Sr., 86, of Route 2 Jackson, died at 4:20 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born in Breeze, Ill. on April 15, 1904, to the late George and Ann Winters Holtkamp. On April 25, 1928 he married Frances Dirker, who preceded him in death on Nov. 17, 1978. On June 16, 1982 he married Viola B. Thomas, who survives.

In 1969 he retired as a mechanic for the Standard Oil Co. in Cape Girardeau and St. Louis, and moved to Chaffee from Berkeley. He moved to Jackson Route 2 eight years ago.

He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson.

Other survivors include a son, George F. Holtkamp, Jr., of St. Clair; two daughters, Dolores Peterson of Hazelwood, and Shirley Glastetter, of Route 1, Chaffee; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Amick Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 3 p.m. today. There will be a parish rosary recited at 7 p.m.

Funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chafee, with the Rev. John Cantore officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Bonnie V. White

CAPE GIRARDEAU - Bonnie V. White, 69, of Route 3 Cape Girardeaum died at 5 a.m. Sunday Feb. 3, 1991 at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born in Fredericktown on Aug. 4, 1921 to the late Harley and Virgie Skaggs White. He married the former Elizabeth Lapinski, and she survives.

He retired in 1979 as a mill weight and was a member of Local Union 1102 Mill Weight, in Detroit, Mich. After retiring, he moved back to Chaffee.

He was an Army veteran, a member of the First Baptist Church in Chaffee, a member of the Friendship-Lincoln Masonic Lodge No. 417 of Detroit, a member of the Detroit Moslem Temple, and of the Scottish Rite of the Valley of Detroit.

Survivors, besides his wife are four brothers, Drake White and Duck White, both of Jackson, Lindell White of Detroit, and Leonard White of Iowa; and a sister, Kathleen Berry of Chaffee.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Friends may call at Amick Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 5 p.m. today. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Chaffee, with Rev. Charley Schrum officiating. Burial will follow in Higdon Cemetery in Higdon, Mo.
