He was born Nov. 17, 1917, in Dongola, son of Guy and Iva Casper Johnson.

Johnson was a member of First Baptist Church, Anna Masonic Lodge, Order of Eastern Star, and Operating Engineers Local in Paducah, Ky.

Survivors include his wife, Arminta; two sons, Gary Johnson of Orlando, Fla., Myron Johnson of Dongola; two stepsons, Bill Stevens of Vienna, Jim Stevens of Boles; a stepdaughter, Elly Kerley of Vienna; a brother, Paul Johnson of Greeley, Colo., and seven grandchildren.
