MOREHOUSE -- Darrell Eugene Newton, 46, of Morehouse died at his home Sunday, March 3, 1991. He was born March 30, 1944 at Sikeston, son the late Emory Darrell Newton and Wanda Crozier Newton, who survives of Morehouse. A lifelong resident of this area, he was veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was member of American Legion Henry Meldrum Post. MOREHOUSE -- Darrell Eugene Newton, 46, of Morehouse died at his home Sunday, March 3, 1991.

He was born March 30, 1944 at Sikeston, son the late Emory Darrell Newton and Wanda Crozier Newton, who survives of Morehouse.

A lifelong resident of this area, he was veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was member of American Legion Henry Meldrum Post. He was employed as an auditor by Missouri State Highway Department.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Steven Newton, Morehouse; two daughters, Stephanie Newton and Shawnta Newton, both of Morehouse; one sister, Donna Bryant, Memphis, Tenn.; one niece and one nephew.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Randy Thomas, pastor of First General Baptist Church of Morehouse, officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
