J. DALE HAMM SR.

SCOTT CITY -- James Dale Hamm Sr., 54, of Scott City died Monday, March 4, 1991 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Oct. 3, 1936 at Sedalia, the son of Zoa R. Hamm.

He was employed as a deck-hand for Rushing Marine in Cape Girardeau.

On Dec. 31, 1964, he married the former Dorene Schaefer. She survives.

He was a member of the East Cape Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Dale Hamm Jr., of Scott City; one daughter, Cindy Cody, Cape Girardeau; four brothers, Bill Hamm, Jacksonville, N.C., Jerry Wright and Kenny Wright, both of Commerce, Ronnie Wright, Scott City; three sisters, Mary Lou Anderson, St. Louis, Betty Mabrey and Janice Margrabe, both of Scott City.

Friends may call at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. William Dickey and the Rev. Raymond Oxford officiating. Burial will follow in Lightener Memorial Cemetery.
