OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- William W. "Blackie" Bradshaw, 72, of Galesburg, died Sunday, May 26, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born Oct. 31, 1918, in Olive Branch, son of Samuel and Mary Hahn Bradshaw. He and the former Joan Stambaugh were married Aug. 2, 1951, in Chicago.

Bradshaw was a bus driver 45 years for Western Illinois University in Macomb, and at Randell Bus Co. in Galesburg. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Bill Bradshaw of Mentone, Calif., Robert Bradshaw of Peoria, William Bradshaw of Troy, Ohio; two brothers, Alvie Bradshaw of Sturdevant, Wis., Norman Bradshaw of Tamms; two sisters, Etta Dickson of Portales, N.M., Winifred Aldrich of Jackson, Mo.; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Chapel in Galesburg. The Rev. Leonard Martz will officiate, with burial in East Linwood Cemetery at Galesburg.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-8:30 tonight.
