VANDUSER - Loyd R. Easter, 68, of Vanduser, Mo. died Saturday morning at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. He was born May 23, 1923 in Hollis, Okla. to John and Katherine Baccus Easter. He retired in 1979 from Noranda Aluminum. Previously he had worked for many years at several Chevrolet dealerships as an auto mechanic. VANDUSER - Loyd R. Easter, 68, of Vanduser, Mo. died Saturday morning at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born May 23, 1923 in Hollis, Okla. to John and Katherine Baccus Easter.

He retired in 1979 from Noranda Aluminum. Previously he had worked for many years at several Chevrolet dealerships as an auto mechanic. The companies included Mitchell-Sharp, Bud Davis, and Sonny Presley dealerships, all in Sikeston.

He was a member of the Vanduser Church of God.

On Nov. 20, 1950 in Piggott, Ark. he married Edna Francis Wallace. She preceded him in death on Sept. 11, 1986.

Survivors include: one son, Ben Easter of Vanduser; three daughters, Mary Scroggins of Reno, Texas, Trish Eskew and Pam Eskew, both of Vanduser; two brothers, Bill Easter of White Deer, Texas and John Easter of Palestine, Texas; four sisters, Irene Hooks of Borger, Texas, Billie Watkins of Eureka, Calf., Margie Bryant of Tucumcari, N.M., and Revena Johnson of Hollis, Okla; and eight grandchildren.

One son, Bill, and one sister preceded him in death.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Geneva Keith of the Vanduser Church of God will officiate. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Morley.
