ANNA, Ill. -- Fred C. House, 84, of Anna, died Thursday, July 18, 1991, at Carbondale Memorial Hospital. He was born Jan. 21, 1907, in Clay County, Mo., son of Herbert E. and Sarah Raby House. He married Catherine Carter, who died in 1973. He later married Alma Johnson Doggett in 1980...

ANNA, Ill. -- Fred C. House, 84, of Anna, died Thursday, July 18, 1991, at Carbondale Memorial Hospital.

He was born Jan. 21, 1907, in Clay County, Mo., son of Herbert E. and Sarah Raby House. He married Catherine Carter, who died in 1973. He later married Alma Johnson Doggett in 1980.

House was a member of Anna Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kay Flynn of Arlington, Va.; two stepdaughters, Barbara Sinkhorn of Anna, Janet Smith of Herrin; nine stepgrandchildren, and 13 great-stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Frederick House.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Crain Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Al Slayter will officiate, with burial in Herrin City Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-6 p.m. Sunday.
