LETHA LUCILLE SHAMHART DODGE

OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Word has been received here of the death of Letha Lucille Shamhart Dodge.

Dodge, of Newton, Ill., formerly of Olive Branch, Ill., died Thursday, Aug. 1, 1991, at Newton Resthaven Nursing Home.

Dodge, 83, was born Oct. 9, 1907 in Jasper County, Ill., daughter of Charles and Mary Shamhart.

She married Avern Dodge in 1930. He preceded her in death in 1982.

She is survived by a daughter Mrs. Kelso (Mary Jane) Towle of Olive Branch; a brother, Dale Shamhart of Wheeler, Ill.,; and two grandchildren.

Service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Wright Funeral Home in Dieterich, Ill. Burial will be in Bailey Cemetery at Wheeler.
