WARD FISHER

DONGOLA, Ill. -- Ward Fisher, 83, of Grantsburg, formerly of Dongola, died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 1991, at Jackson County Nursing Home in Murphysboro.

He was born May 15, 1908, at Dongola, son of Lee and Addie Aden Fisher. He married Grace Futhey in 1943. She died in 1982.

Fisher was a retired auto mechanic, and veteran of World War II.

Survivors include a sister, Margaret Horn of Anna, and a brother, the Rev. Carl Fisher of Dongola.

He was preceded in death by six sisters and a brother.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Crain Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. A.W. Landis will officiate, with burial in Friendship Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
