LUTHER R. SMITH

SEDGEWICKVILLE -- Luther R. Smith, 75, of Sedgewickville Route 1, died Thursday morning, Aug. 22, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center, where he had been a patient for two weeks.

He was born May 30, 1916, at Sedgewickville, son of M. Rosewll and Tava Statler Smith.

He married Betty Suedekum May 2, 1962, at Frohna. She survives.

He farmed in the Sedgewickville area his entire life. He was a member of the Sedgewickville Lutheran Church and Westview Masonic Lodge 103 at Millersville.

Other survivors are a brother, Dwight Smith, Perryville; two nieces; three nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

An infant brother preceded him in death.

Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sedgewickville Lutheran Church with the Rev. William Brooks officiating.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be conducted at the funeral home at 7:30 tonight.

Burial will be in Sedegewickville Cemetery.
