Hazel Cotner, 96, of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 1991, at Cape Girardeau Nursing Center. She was born Sept. 20, 1894, at Old Appleton, daughter of John and Zerllinea Cotner Lowes. She married Ray Cotner Oct. 22, 1913, at Jackson. He died Oct. 11, 1955...

Hazel Cotner, 96, of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 1991, at Cape Girardeau Nursing Center.

She was born Sept. 20, 1894, at Old Appleton, daughter of John and Zerllinea Cotner Lowes. She married Ray Cotner Oct. 22, 1913, at Jackson. He died Oct. 11, 1955.

The Cotners owned a family farm near Neelys Landing. She later did housekeeping for several families.

Survivors include three nieces, two nephews and several cousins.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Norman Elledge will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until time of service.
