OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Silas S. Brooks, 70, of Olive Branch, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born March 17, 1921, in Massac County, son of Herman and Dessie May Miller Brooks. He married the former Marjorie Medaker.

Brooks was a retired member of AFL-CIO, and member of Tamms Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Linda Curtis of Corinth, Miss.; two sons, William Walter of Joliet, Christopher Brooks of Hebron, Ind.; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Crain Funeral Chapel in Mounds. Burial will be in Pell Cemetery near Brookport.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
