ESTHER WICKS

ANNA, Ill. -- Esther Wicks, 89, of Anna, died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 1991, at her home.

She was born Sept. 11, 1902, at Cobden, daughter of Charles and Ella McCann Messamore. She married Free Parmly, who died in October 1955. Shelter married Lonnie Wicks, who died Aug. 16, 1988.

Wicks was a member of Limestone Baptist Church near Cobden.

Survivors include two sons, Harold Parmly of Homewood, Gerald Parmly of Memphis, Tenn.; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Burnie Messamore and a sister, Elizabeth Brown.

Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Crain Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Al Slayter will officiate, with burial in Cobden Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
