SIKESTON -- Service for Willie Lewis will be held Wednesday at New Morning Baptist Church, at Haywood City, with Rev. Willie Matlock officiating. Burial will be in Haywood City Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Beams of Heaven Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.

Lewis, of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, Dec. 14, 1990, at the John J. Pershing Veterans Administration Hospital in Poplar Bluff.

He was a long-time resident of Scott and Stoddard counties, and had lived in Cape Girardeau about seven months.

He was born at Shuqualak, Miss., son of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Lewis Sr.

On march 8, 1942, he married Rosie Lee Jones. She survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Willie Ester Sims, of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
