MAY BARD

CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Service for May Bard will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel, with Rev. S. S. Borum officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery at Villa Ridge, Ill.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. tonight.

Bard, 88 years old, of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 1990, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Jan. 4, 1902, at Charleston, daughter of William Sanders and Viola Matthews Sanders.

She married H. Beckham Bard in 1929. He preceded her in death in 1967.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church here, and Order of the Eastern Star at Cairo, Ill. She was a member of St. Francis Medical Center Auxiliary 22 years.

The Bards moved to Cape Girardeau in 1963.

Survivors include a son, William Bard, of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Mrs. Eunice Flannagan of Cape Girardeau; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild;

She was preceded in death by a daughter, one granddaughter, three brothers, and three sisters.
