DONGOLA, Ill. -- Randy Hite and Sherri Joann Hartline, students at Dongola High School, were winners in the Southern Illinois Electric Cooperative's "Youth to Washington" contest.

Hite, son of Shirley M. Hite, and Hartline, daughter of Raymond and Wilma Hartline, all of Dongola, will join winners from other states in a visit to Washington, D.C., June 14-21. They will tour the capitol, Lincoln Memorial, National Cathedral, Smithsonian, National Zoo, Washington Monument, Ford's Theatre and Arlington Cemetery.

Runnersup in the local contest were Stacy Schierbaum, Darryl Clark Jr., Delinda Sickling, Melissa Kerley, Rick Ryan, and Amy Roper, all of Century Unit School near Ullin; and Troy Lynn Wiseman, Anthony Kissiar, Jon Shaffer, and Jennifer Teller, all of Dongola Unit School.
