MALDEN -- Tammy Wynette will make her annual Malden concert appearance Wednesday at the Tammy Wynette Fairgrounds in the Malden Industrial Park.

Entertainment will start at 6 p.m. and gates will open at 5:30 p.m. A large fireworks display will follow the concert.

Tickets for the concert are $3 in advance and $5 at the gate. Children under 12 will be admitted free. Refreshments and free parking will be available. Lawn chairs are permitted. No coolers will be allowed.

Wynette recently was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Music City News at the Country Music Awards. She was the first female to receive the CMA Female Vocalist of the Year Award and has earned three Grammy Awards.

Wynette has had 35 No. 1 singles, including "D-I-V-O-R-C-E," "Stand By Your Man," "I Don't Want To Play House," and "Your Good Girl's Gone Bad." The song, "Stand By Your Man," which she wrote and recorded, is the biggest selling country single ever.
