LAND PURCHASES
The Missouri Conservation Commission has approved purchase of four new tracts of land as additions to existing wildlife areas. They are: 85 acres in Dallas County, addition to Lead Mine State Forest. 324 acres in Scotland County as addition to Indian Hills Wildlife Area...
The Missouri Conservation Commission has approved purchase of four new tracts of land as additions to existing wildlife areas. They are:
85 acres in Dallas County, addition to Lead Mine State Forest.
324 acres in Scotland County as addition to Indian Hills Wildlife Area.
121 acres in Howard County, addition to Davisdale Wildlife Area.
53.4 acres in Gentry County, addition to Elam Bend Wildlife Area.

The Commission also approved names for four areas:
"Juden Creek Natural History Area, for 7.76-acre in Cape Girardeau County.
"Gama Grass Prairie" for former 80-acre Nature Conservancy tract in Vernon County.
"Grand Bluffs Natural History Area, for 224-acre area in Montgomery County.
"Roubidoux Island access" for 22-acre tract on Roubidoux Creek in Pulaski County.
The Commission's next meeting will be held Sept. 25 at Rolla.
