OAK RIDGE WILL HOST BLOOD DRIVE ON OCT. 10

OAK RIDGE -- The American Red Cross and Oak Ridge Community High School Student Council will sponsor a blood drive Oct. 10 from 2-7 p.m. at Oak Ridge High School.

"People feel a real sense of community at this time of year," said Debbie Rushin, blood drive chairman. "Being there for your friends and neighbors in need is a big part of giving blood. It's nice to see everyone band together."

To be eligible to give blood, you must weigh at least 110 pounds and be at least 17 years old.
