JACKSON - James P. Limbaugh was appointed to a new four-year term as a commissioner of the Southeast Missouri Regional Port Authority Monday by the Cape Girardeau County Commission.

Limbaugh, who is president of Boatmen's Bank, was first appointed to the board in August of 1984, when port commissioners chose him as the at-large member.

The port authority's board has nine members, with four appointed by the Cape and Scott County Commissions and one member serving a two-year term that changes between counties.

In December of 1987, when the Cape and Scott County Commissions signed a new agreement calling for the board's ninth member to be appointed by the county commissions instead of the board, the Cape County Commission named Limbaugh to the position.

On March 31, 1987, following the resignation of C.W. Rushing, Limbaugh was named to fill the remainder of his term.

Limbaugh's new term will expire on Nov. 30, 1995.
