TRI-CON HONORED FOR LOWERING ITS WORKERS' CLAIMS

Two employees at Tri-Con Industries, Ltd. in Cape Girardeau recently received an award of merit from I.T.T. Hartford Insurance Group.

Those honored included: Karen G. Zipprich, corporate nurse, and Mike Stevens, plant manager. They were recognized for successfully lowering the worker's compensation claims by 43 percent over the past year.

Tri-Con Industries led the corporation with the largest reduction of the industries' seven plants.

Zipprich recently attended an Ergonomic seminar at Clemson University, Clemson, S.C. She received continuing education credits for attending.
