Scott Van de Ven has joined Schott & Company, certified public accountants, as a staff accountant.

Van de Ven, of Cape Girardeau, is a graduate of Central High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in accounting at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Schott & Company, a full-service accounting firm established in 1959, has its principal office in Cape Girardeau. It also has offices at Lutesville and at Marion, Ill.

Maureen Zagarri has joined Health Services Corporation of America as area vice president for sales.

Zagarri, of St. Louis, will represent areas in portions of Missouri, including St. Louis and Kansas City, central Illinois and west central Indiana.

Earl Norman, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of HSCA, announced the appointment last week.

Zagarri has 13 years of experience in meeting needs of health care providers. Prior to joining HSCA, she was associated with Shared Resource Enterprises Inc., a subsidiary of the Hospital Association of Metropolitan St. Louis.

She is an associate member of St. Louis Hospital Pharmacists, Missouri Society of Hospital Pharmacists, and the American Society of Hospital Pharmacists.

HSCA, founded in 1969, is headquartered in Cape Girardeau and St. Louis.
