Dr. Robert Kessinger is looking forward to a second trip to Moscow.

Kessinger, a Cape Girardeau chiropractor, just returned from a week's mission there. He was invited to Moscow by the Christian Medical Society of Russia to demonstrate the effectiveness of chiropractic procedures on bodily disorders.

Kessinger was one of four chiropractors selected for the week's trip. Others were Dr. Michael Kale of Spartanburg, S.C.; Dr. Mark Vureau, Quebec, Canada; and Dr. Frank Bezanski of New Jersey.

"We spent most of our time with three Soviet medical doctors," said Kessinger.

The chiropractic doctors demonstrated in detail recent research done on the brain stem to the Russian Medical Society.

The medical doctors helped interpret as Kessinger and the other chiropractors worked with more than 500 Soviets.

"Most of the people checked had disorders of all kinds, from leukemia to asthma, epilepsy, blindness and deafness," said Kessinger. Although some immediate results were produced, the patients will be checked in a month by the medical doctors for follow-up, Kessinger said.

The medical community was enthused with chiropractic procedures and has already arranged for the same four chiropractors to return to Moscow.

"The spring trip will be for two weeks," said Kessinger. "We'll be doing more teaching this time and hope to certify 25 medical doctors in upper cervical specific chiropractic."

The Americans were inducted as honored members of the Christian Medical Society of Russia.
