YOLANDA KING WILL PRESENT LECTURE FOCUSING ON HUMAN, CIVIL RIGHTS

CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Yolanda King, the daughter of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., will present a lecture Monday at 7 p.m. at the Show Me Center.

The lecture is open to the public. Admission is $1 for students and $2 for all others.

Born in Montgomery, Ala., King has been in the midst of the struggle for human rights throughout her life. She has participated in numerous civil and human rights demonstrations and has spoken before countless religious, educational, civic and human rights groups.

The lecture, sponsored by the Southeast Student Activities Council, and co-sponsored by Minority Student Services and Y105 radio, will feature King's poetry and dramatic monologues, as well as her innovative approach to controversial issues.
