GODWIN TO SPEAK

JACKSON -- Astronaut Linda Godwin will be guest speaker during the Jackson Chamber of Commerce's installation banquet for new officers.

Godwin, of Oak Ridge, was an astronaut aboard the shuttle Atlantis and deployed the Gamma Ray Observatory using the shuttle's robot arm. She attended Jackson High School and Southeast Missouri State University.

The installation banquet will be held June 24 at the K.C. Hall, upper level, starting at 7 p.m.
