The Cape Girardeau Senior and Junior High School orchestras will present a concert with an international flavor May 30 at 7:30 p.m. at the Central High School auditorium.

The first selection, Jean Joseph Mouret's "Rondeau," is the theme for "Masterpiece Theater" productions. This piece will be followed by music inspired by the cultures of the Mid-East and Israel, and then music from America.

Featured during the concert will be a junior high string quartet made up of Casi Krauss, Laurie Conrad, Jamie Filer and Lydia Eddy.

The senior orchestra will perform selections chosen for their recent trip to Washington D.C.

Soloists featured in the concert include Tarina Kang, Mala Ahuja, Shannon Glass, Shane Langston and Charllean Hall.

At the concert, senior members of the orchestra, who will be graduating, will be recognized. They are Alex Allen, Jan Jarrell, Shane Langston, Erica Ray, Stacy Scott, Jay Thurman and Donna Wigfall.

Other honors go to Chris Ford and Alex Allen for being selected to the Missouri All-State Orchestra.
