That's where the Southeast Missourian Jr.'s Tools for Teachers comes in. The special newspaper for young readers is collecting school supplies for teachers. Supplies may be dropped off at the Southeast Missourian offices in Cape Girardeau, Jackson and Chaffee and several other area businesses through Sept. 5.

Gift certificates to stores with paper goods are particularly appreciated. The supplies will be distributed to area elementary schools.

The collection drive is a good way to show teachers we respect what they do for our children.
