For the past 21 years, Riverfest has been a downtown staple each June in Cape Girardeau. There were concerns that this year's event, slated for June 11-12, might have to be scrapped due to a lack of funds.

Even though enough support has been shown to go ahead with Riverfest, organizers are still in need of donations to make sure all the costs are covered. For information about providing support, contact the Riverfest office at 335-1388. Your efforts will be welcome.
