I watched the movie, "The Patriot," and it reminded me of what countless millions of Americans gave up for us to live in a free society. What would they think of how our country has turned out? Would they be happy with a prosperous nation that has a Supreme Court that upholds infanticide and bans public-school prayers that are student led and student initiated?

The majority opinion in both cases did not use the opinions of those who write the Constitution. This tells me that our Supreme Court has taken liberty with the Constitution and has decided to play lawmaker and not simply interpreter. Should our Supreme Court be using its best guess at interpreting a part of the Constitution?

It is interesting that we want to be known as a Christian nation and receive the blessings, but we do not want to acknowledge as a government who is in charge. Many Christians, including myself at times, want to hide our calling to be witnesses to our friends, family and neighbors behind this facade of separation of church and state. The modern meaning of this like used by Satan has done nearly irreparable damage to our society and our individual lives. Those who wrote the Constitution never intended such an idea to be followed by the citizens of this country.

Our government and country have drifted away from the principles of our origin. The principles set forth were Bible-based and ageless. Who is to blame? We are. Individually, we have broken with principle and have not turned back to Christ.

Pay attention to the presidential and congressional candidates this year. Whomever you elect will have a direct impact on choosing Supreme Court justices. If Congress and our president are elected by the people, then who is responsible for the decisions of the court? Be aware.
