Here are some quotes from James Carville's appearance Feb. 14 on "Meet the Press": The president "deliberately mislead and deceived the American people ... . He gave false and misleading testimony, and his actions have had the effect of impeding discovery of evidence in judicial proceedings. Such behavior is not only unacceptable, but also bears grave consequences, including loss of integrity, trust and respect. His conduct in this matter has violated the trust of the American people."

So now it's OK if a Democrat says it, according to Carville. Since they got their guy off, then can say Clinton is guilty of the charges brought against him by House Republicans. If the charges were "indefensible," why did every single Democrat in straight party-line lockstep spend a year and a half supporting and defending it? Why did every single Democrat help destroy the lives of people who may have committed sins but no criminal act? Noe one Democrat in the Senate had the honor, courage or integrity to do the right thing.

In this same interview, Carville explained that the strategy of the White House was to make this a partisan issue right from the beginning. Now we know why so much time was spent demonizing Ken Starr and anyone who would dare tell the truth about this president. Any special prosecutor appointed by Bill Clinton's attorney general would have been accused of being out of control with a political vendetta on a partisan witch hunt.

The entire sorry mess was orchestrated by Carville and Bill and Hillary Clinton. It was supported by every single Democrat as they parroted White House-issued talking points every time they could get in front of a TV camera or news reporter. They knew they could count on willing accomplices in the press to maintain focus on their mantra and help divert blame and resentment from Clinton to evil Ken Starr and the House Republicans. They daily brainwashed the people with skewed polls and misinformation to produce an ultimate tampered jury.

When asked by Tim Russert if Carville and the White House had won, I found it interesting that Carville responded with a quote from a mob figure glamorized in the movie "The Godfather": "We are all of the same hypocrisy here in Washington."

At long last, Carville has said something truthful. For the first time I agree with him 100 percent.
