To the editor:

It is with appreciation that the Missouri Mentoring Partnership recognizes the mentorship of Joyce Hunter and Tyra Reppert for three young women who have recently worked in the circulation department of your newspaper.

Two of these young women were foster children under the care of the Missouri Division of Family Services, and the third was a former foster child who had been adopted. Joyce and Tyra both took extra time and attention to help guide them in acquiring not only specific task skills related to their telemarketing and circulation responsibilities, but many of the soft skills so very necessary for success in the workplace.

Joyce and Tyra have been stellar role models. They will each be remembered with respect and appreciation.
