Most people have negative thoughts concerning a nursing home. That is only natural. It is for sure there is no place like home just as long as there are more than one remaining, however. To me, a home loses that precious atmosphere when you are left alone. It did for me when I lost my twin sister and was the remaining one.

I was not ill, but my age led me to think a nursing home would be a wise choice. There are many from which to choose. All are good and filled to capacity. However, my choice was the Lutheran Home, and it will remain my home.

I was not at all surprise to learn there have been many prominent people as residents in the Lutheran Home. Dr. J. Bob Cochran, a prominent local physician at one time who died recently from a serious kidney ailment, was a patient here for a number of months. Several directors of the Lutheran Home, now deceased, were at one time patients here. The Rev. Walter Keisker, a patient for many years, still conducts a regular morning Bible class.

I have been greatly impressed by all this plus the expertise in which this place is managed.

It is wise, if one chooses, to enter a home while health still permits so that you can arrange your own specious or cozy little home in one room. I did that very thing and am content. I feel safe in saying you will be also.

I wish for you happiness in whatever home you choose to enter. I'll never regret my choice of the Lutheran Home.
