To the editor:

I would like to thank the Southeast Missourian and specifically Kim McDowell for the excellent advertising, coverage and coordination in presenting the concert by the Scott Air Force Base Concert Band to Cape Girardeau.

This was a wonderful opportunity for our community to hear a very fine military band playing marches, concert selections and patriotic music. I am especially pleased to provide a concert of this type for our junior and senior high band students, as many were in attendance.

I encourage your continued involvement in community cultural events and look forward to hearing this fine band again in future years.
