To the editor:

Too often today we only read in the paper about the awful things people do to others and the poor treatment their receive from uncaring human beings. We are writing this letter as a testimonial that this isn't always the case.

For the past almost four years, our mother, Mary D. Furey, has been a resident at the Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau. Until she passed away on Aug. 19, there wasn't one day she was in residence there that she wasn't treated in the kindest, most respectful manner. From the administration down, there wasn't one member of the staff who didn't watch over Mother daily with tender, loving care. We will always be grateful to the staff of the Fountainbleau Lodge for the way they took care of her.

We wanted the opportunity to publicly thank them and to let the world know that the days of kindness and caring aren't past. They are still the largest part of the care at the Fountainbleau Lodge.
