Ken Newton's column, "A crackling fire, and still nothing to say," carried a disgruntled tone and concluded with a challenge -- "Rhyme that." Wanting to nurse your chilled spirit, I offer the following:

Ole Man Winter, please keep

Master Blizzard away,

Just cuz Ole Ken Newton

expressed dismay

Of your majesty, of your breath-taking

view of snow,

Lo, SOME truly enjoy the winter stage.

So, please ignore Ole Ken, you see,
