My husband and I have an RV, and just recently returned from a short trip. We came home on I-55 past Cape and Jackson, and as I had been following the ads for campgrounds as we traveled, I decided to really pay attention to the Cape billboards and signs.

There are no campgrounds for Cape or Jackson! Here you are on a major interstate, spending money to advertise on trucks, billboards, etc. for people to come into your city for tourism. You have the Show Me Center, the college, lots of fine restaurants, and shopping and also lots of motels. Seems to me someone is missing the boat!

I see RVs travel I-55, but if they stop, it is only to eat or shop, but there is no place to camp if they want to visit the city for more than a little while, or visit someone at the college, or even take in something at the Show Me Center. What about fair time? Where do people stay? If they have children, most will not or cannot afford a motel, and a lot do have RVs.

How about Cape? Shall we travel on because you have no place for us to park?
