Parents are asked to please teach their elementary students where they will be going after school. Name and address of parents or the daycare center or sitter is absolutely necessary to make certain that these younger students are on the right bus after school. It is very helpful to the teachers if this information can be sent to school with your child on the first day of school. Please help make your childs first day of school a happy one - send their bus information to their teacher. Please let your child ride the bus the first day of school so they will recognize their driver for the trip home after school. You can meet the bus at your childs school to take pictures of their first day. Board of Education policy 8.04 states: Students who wish to get off the bus at a location other than where they are picked up must have a written note from their parent or guardian stating where, when, for how long, date and signature of parent or guardian. This note must be turned in to the driver of the bus they ride to and from school or a trip bus.
