Red Star area deserves better

ISN'T THERE SOMETHING the city of Cape Girardeau can do for those people up there in the Red Star area? It seems like to me the city of Cape could do something for them. For instance, they've done something for the city of Cape Girardeau by paying taxes so that they could get that there flood wall and stuff built out there for the Town Plaza and those other people. They helped to put that levee around them that was supposed to go to Cape Rock and they helped to put that up there but what they done, they cut them off there at the creek. That was pretty dirty. It seems like to me the city of Cape Girardeau doesn't want to help the poor people out like they want to help the big shots out. I wish it comes 53 feet on this river and busts that wall all to h-e-l-l so they'll see what it feels like too. Did you know there's an oil slick up there by the station on Main Street and it's getting in people's back yards. Now who's going to clean that up? If I was living down there, I guarantee you there would be a lawsuit against the city of Cape Girardeau. And if I lived down there and had $100,000, I'd pay someone to blow that levee all to pieces. I think it's a crying shame and disgrace the city of Cape Girardeau would do these people that way.
