Jean Ann Cook, 75, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at her home.

She was born Nov. 4, 1944, in Cape Girardeau to Albert and Imogene Brase Martin. She and Charles N. Nance were married Nov. 15, 1962, in San Francisco. He preceded her in death Dec. 19, 1993.

Jean loved cooking, and she was very involved in church. She was a very giving person and always made many donations to different charities.

Survivors include her daughter, Lori (David) Cobb of Charlotte, Tennessee; son, Kim (Patty) Nance of Kansas; sister, Linda (Bobby) Fisher of Cape Girardeau; brother, Kenneth (Linda) Martin of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Moore, Ashley Aulidge, Madison Virden, Brooke Ann Melius and David Loyd Nance; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and grandchild, Michael Swaw.

Graveside service will be at noon Saturday at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Dan Chaney officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
