Gary Arnold

Gary M. Arnold, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Aug. 3, 2020, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 2, 1939, in Lilbourn, Missouri, to William Henry Arnold and Beatrice Taylor Sutton. He and Doris Jean Broyles were married April 2, 1961, in Dexter, Missouri.

He was owner of Gary M. Arnold Construction and previous owner of Imperial Interiors. He was also a longtime land developer, and he just recently completed Shadow Wood Villas.

He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Jean Arnold of Cape Girardeau; daughter, Cynthia Arnold McCulloch of Cape Girardeau; grandchildren, Alicia (Dan) Pitts and Preston (Delaney) Arnold, both of Dallas; daughter-in-law, Pamela Arnold (Clint) Stephens of Cape Girardeau; brother, Jerry Arnold; half brothers, Jim (Elizabeth) Arnold, Jeff Sutton and Listen Arnold; half sisters, Jo Ellen Nicholson, Donna Sutton, Katie Arnold Arwood, Mary Ellen Arnold and Verna Hildebrand; aunts, Betty Taylor Price of Dallas and Connie Taylor Thomas of St. Louis; cousins, Chris (Lorri) Price and Tammy (Bruce) Weir, both of Dallas; and many other cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Rodney Arnold.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jennifer Long officiating. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to Centenary United Methodist Church or Harold O'Grauel Masonic Lodge No 672.
